WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK MAN WINS $5,000 EVENT AT BORGATA WINTER POKER TOUR

White Plains, New York’s Matthew Casterella took home $375,100 after winning the $5,000 buy-in event at the Borgata Winter Open at Borgata Hotel & Casino, Friday (January 26).

Casterella, who recently turned pro, said,

"This is incredible. I have played a lot of poker, but this is my first major win. It feels great to have won this at Borgata."

Elio Cabrera took home $211,750 for placing second. The amateur from Florida held off a challenge from professional John Myung, who took third place and $114,950.

Thursday night also featured the World Poker Tour kickoff party at Gypsy Bar, prior to the start of the Main Event, the $10,000 buy-in WPT Borgata Poker Classic, which kicked off Friday with nearly 600 competitors, including poker superstar Phil Ivey.

BORGATA CELEBRATES ROLLING STONES' CONCERT WITH EVENTS, PARTIES

The Gypsy Bar at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will celebrate the Rolling Stones performance Friday (October 27) at the city's Boardwalk Hall.

Gypsy Bar is celebrating three days of tributes to the band with music by Rolling Stones cover band Sticky Fingers, contests, drink specials, Stones ticket and trip giveaways, official band merchandise and more.

Wednesday (October 25), the bar will host "The Longest Tongue and Biggest Lips Contest" from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, featuring music by Sticky Fingers. Winners of the contest will receive tickets to see the band at their show Friday night.

Thursday (October 26), the Gypsy Bar will feature music by Screaming Broccolli and at midnight, one winner will receive a trip to see the Rolling Stones in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The official Rolling Stones tailgate party kicks off at 5:00 pm Friday (October 27) at the Gypsy Bar, featuring a live remote from WZXL and Stones prize packages.

BORGATA TO HOST "FIGHT WEEK"

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced the schedule of events for  next week's "Fight Week" Thursday (June 1), which will take place from June 6 to 10 and which will culminate with the highly-anticipated Fight to the Finish, a 12-round, light heavyweight championship bout between Antonio Tarver and Bernard Hopkins. The fight will take place at Boardwalk Hall June 10 and will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View, starting at 9:00 pm, ET.

The week's festivities will kick off Tuesday (June 6) with a 6:30 pm press conference at Gypsy Bar for the Battle at Borgata, a six-fight card, which will take place the following night (June 7) at the Event Center. The main event will pit Demetrius Hopkins against Michael Warrick, and the card will be televised on ESPN2. The official weigh-in will follow at Gypsy Bar at 7:00 pm. Battle at Borgata will kick off at 6:30 pm Wednesday.

The media luncheon and final press conference for Tarver vs. Hopkins will take place at noon, Thursday (June 8), and the press conference, which is open to the public, will take place at 1:00 pm. The official weigh-in for the Tarver vs. Hopkins fight will take place at The Music Box Friday (June 9) at 6:00 pm.

Friday night, Brian McKnight will headline a concert at the Event Center. The show will also feature performances from Johnny Gil and KEM. Later that night Jeremy Piven and Oscar de la Hoya will host a pre-fight party at MIXX nightclub. The party will kick off at 11:00 pm.

Doors for the Tarver vs. Hopkins light heavyweight championship match open Saturday (June 10) at 6:30 pm. The week will end with a post-fight party at MIXX nightclub Saturdat night at 11:00 pm. The party will be hosted by Nick Lachey.
